We use the Gatimaan Express — India's fastest train — which departs from Hazrat Nizamuddin Station (New Delhi) at 8:10 AM and arrives at Agra Cantt at 9:50 AM. The return departs Agra at 5:50 PM, arriving Delhi at 7:30 PM. Trains can vary seasonally.
Yes, AC Chair Car train tickets (both ways on Gatimaan Express) are included in the tour price. We book these well in advance. Please provide your passport details at the time of booking as they are required for train reservations.
In the rare event of a significant delay or cancellation by Indian Railways, we arrange a private car transfer to ensure you still visit the Taj Mahal. There is no extra charge for this contingency.
You will have approximately 2.5–3 hours inside the Taj Mahal complex — more than enough to visit the main mausoleum, garden, mosque and Mehman Khana, and take photographs. After the Taj, you also visit Agra Fort before catching the return train.
