TOUR ITINERARY

DAY 01: COCHIN ARRIVE

Arrival with meeting and assistance at the airport, our representative will meet to welcome and escort to the Hotel. While the room keys and check-in is organized, our representative will also hand over the “Welcome Folder” documents and brief you the tour Programmed.

Kochi is a city in southwest India's coastal Kerala state. It has been a port since 1341, when a flood carved out its harbor and opened it to Arab, Chinese and European merchants. Sites reflecting those influences include Fort Kochi, a settlement with tiled colonial bungalows and diverse houses of worship. Its use of cantilevered Chinese fishing nets dates to the 13th century.

DAY 02: COCHIN – MUNNAR (140 KMS/04 HRS DRIVE)

After Breakfast check out hotel, drive to city tour visiting, St. Francis Church: Built in 1503 by Portuguese Franciscan Friars, this is India's oldest European church. Chinese Fishing Net : Lined along the sea front, these fishing nets exhibit a mechanical method of catching fish, introduced by Chinese traders from the court of Kublai Khan. Jewish Synagogue: Constructed in 1568, this is the oldest synagogue in the commonwealth. Destroyed in a shelling, during the Portuguese raid in 1662, it was rebuilt two years later by the Dutch.

Later drive to Munnar, Munnar is a town in the Western Ghats mountain range in India’s Kerala state. A hill station and former resort for the British Raj elite, it's surrounded by rolling hills dotted with tea plantations established in the late 19th century. Eravikulam National Park, a habitat for the endangered mountain goat Nilgiri tahr, is home to the Lakkam Waterfalls, hiking trails and 2,695m-tall Anamudi Peak,

DAY 03: IN MUNNAR

After breakfast we take you for a full day sightseeing trip of Munnar -which is a nature lover’s paradise with endless tea gardens lakes on western ghat hills; basically it is a tea town. covering – Mattupetty Lake & Dam, Echo Point, Kundale Lake, Blossom Garden, Pallivasal/Pothamedu, Rajamalai – offering a spectacular view, Eravikulam Wildlife sanctuary, home of Nilgiry Thar (very rare mountain goat), considering the ecological faunal, floral, geo- morphological and zoological significant & Tea plantation.

DAY 04: MUNNAR TO THEKKADY (90 KMS/02 HRS)

After breakfast, Proceed to Thekkady, Transfer to hotel & relax. Afternoon, proceed for sightseeing - The Periyar wildlife sanctuary is thick evergreen forest, declared a Tiger Reserve in 1978. The splendid artificial lake formed by the Mullaperiyar Dam across the Periyar river adds to the charm of the park. You can also do things in Thekkady like - Boat cruises on the Periyar lake, visit cardamom, pepper, tea & coffee plantation.

DAY 05: THEKKADY - KUMARAKOM (120 KMS/02.30 HRS)

After breakfast, Check out from the hotel, and depart by surface to Kumarakom, on arrival checks in at Hotel.

Kumarakom: Kumarakom is a must visit place of Kerala. The main attraction includes the Kumarakom bird sanctuary set in 14 acres of woods. The sanctuary has a large variety of migratory birds and offers a visitor the options of sailing in its backwaters. Sailing in the boathouses out here is a once in a lifetime experience. Kumarakom is also famous for its old churches and the exceptionally popular ayurveda treatment.

Visit Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, Pathiramanal, Mango Meadows Agricultural Theme Park, Chavara Bhavan, St. Joseph's Monastery etc.

DAY 06: KUMARAKOM - ALLEPPEY (HOUSEBOAT)

After breakfast drive to Alleppey (160 km 5 Hours) afternoon check into the House boat for Cruise; it is the best way to explore the beauty of backwaters, Rest of the day at leisure on the House Boat. Sit back and relax while the boat cruises through the narrow serene backwater canals. In this world of simple pleasures, you’ll skim past ancient Chinese fishing nets; water Lillie’s, lush paddy fields, coir villages, rustic homes, temples and coconut groves. Innumerable lagoons, lakes, canals, estuaries and Kuttanad paddy fields. Lunch, Evening Tea/Coffee with snacks, dinner and enjoy your evening .Only disturbance will be twinkle of a shining star or diving of a fish around you to say hello by waving its tail from the lake.

Overnight stay in the House Boat.

DAY 07: ALLEPPEY - COCHIN (55 KM/2HRS) & DEPART

After breakfast disembark from the houseboat and Transfer to Cochin, drop at Airport to catch flight for onward destination.
